Matt was singing back-up on Life Wasted. 7 O'Clock was stopped because someone fainted (heat exhaustion / dehydration). 45 total songs with with only 4 repeats - I hope that type of diversity continues on multi- night stands in the same city. Only 3 covers - Again Today and RitFW with friends were all but guaranteed. Lord Huron and Beck were highlights from day 1. NHC, Sleater Kinney, and Brandi Carlisle were highlights from day 2. Lord Huron was the pleasant surprise of the weekend. Thankfully, there was free water filling stations or I easily would have spent over $100 on water. So hot both days.

Ed mentioned last night that whenever they go on tour again, Josh will be opening for them. Assuming that's pluralone, his set wasn't that great.

nailed 'take the long way' again
amazing what a little (or maybe a lot of) practice can do

Any practice is better than no practice.

I had a harder time understanding Ed on mic tonight than normal. I mean he obviously mumbles, but it was more pronounced than usual for me.
Maybe it was his toradol shot or whatever he had.
No release or Jeremy over the two weekends. Figured I woulda heard at least one of those one time.
All in all - 2 fun weekends. Now I need sleep. 5 nights in 8 days (coupled with a week of work) is a lot.

Seems like a good time was had by all.
Sad to see this little run of shows wrap but hopeful for a full, proper leg in the spring.

Once Canada lifts their arena capacity restrictions, I assume the rescheduled NA shows will finally be announced.

This guy's whole deal seems to be hitching his fortunes to the careers of much more talented and successful musicians.
Very unfortunate.

Wait, what did this guy do wrong?
He joined the RHCP and then opened for Pearl Jam? Against their will?

yeah , the whole ¨josh is a leech¨ is super weird.
He was invited in the rhcp because John left then kicked out because the same guy wanted to come back ( im guessing because his solo career wasnt a big thing).

He just comes across like a marginally talented guy whose musical career is the result of deliberately latching onto successful musicians. His own music is terrible.
I didn't even hold this view of him (or really think about him at all) until I heard the Marc Maron interview right after he was fired from the Chili Peppers, he came across very badly.
I would include his comically over-enthusiastic playing as another thing which seems grossly cynical and calculated:

there is nothing real that suggests that. He also played with a big number of talented band and musicians too. Everyone speaks very good of him. He is still in very good terms with Chad Smith at least.
His departure of the peppers speaks badly of John, who cant make up his mind about that band. Sometimes their music embarrass him, sometimes not. Or maybe sometimes he just need the money.

I'm willing to admit this is wildly unfair and I don't know the guy.

Like he tricked those bands into letting him join?
