Did that rumor have anything to say what date range/time frame they were negotianating for?

It's an outdoor venue so I assume it would be for late summer rather than fall.

I am curious as to why so many people think there's going to be another US tour this fall.

They just toured North America less than a year ago. What leads you to believe they'll do it again without another new album and most guys getting north of 50?

I agree with this. People seem to treat last year as one leg, but by PJ standards it was really two legs the US already got. Also, it seems stupid to stretch the tour cycle of a record out over a whole year (especially when you're playing about 50 shows for it). however...

There were lots of rumors in December about shows in May 2014 so it did seem like they were going to do another US leg, probably the usual 12 shows or so. I've even following the 2014 PJ Tour Group on Facebook and someone said this week that someone in the band is having a life event in May (maybe a wedding or baby). Someone else posted they heard from Matt about a tour that didn't end up happening for this year.

I emailed Matt Cord, the DJ in Philly that seems to be plugged in pretty well with the PJ world. He said no Philly shows this summer but probably more shows in the States. Maybe the band is just taking the leg they didn't end up doing in May and moving it to August or September.

Keep in mind, there was also the email Rich Russo posted mid-March about the Future Days single that said tour dates coming soon.

There's going to be another US leg because the band didn't play anything even remotely midwestern last time around...I'd say purposefully - NOTHING between Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and the Pacific NW*. Also I've been hearing the Noblesville rumors for months, from people that couldn't care less about Pearl Jam even.

*Major cities missed: Chicago (though they played there pre-LB), Detroit, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Louisville, St. Louis, Denver, Minneapolis, and then Indianapolis is rumored, Kansas City is typically played too. None of these places have had a show since 2010, some 2009 unless you count Wrigley or PJ20. Also as you may recall, they did a similar list of dates to kick off the 2010 tour, after their 2009 US tour for Backspacer...it's just a little more clearly divided this time, as 2009 went out to Philly but didn't hit the rest of the east coast, but the 2010 tour went back and hit those places (before hitting Europe for the 2nd year in a row, in a run we're currently on where they've been there 6 out of 9 years dating back to 2006...)

Louisville hasn't had a show since 1994.
