The Pros are, but as was mentioned above, it’s fake 7.1, relying on an algorithm to try to approximate a 7 channel layout. I’ve not used it but I’m extremely skeptical it holds any value whatsoever.
I don't know what the second half of the first sentence means, but it seems important.

I have new air pod pros and some nice desktop headphones. I'll share what they are when I get home. I just need someone to tell me either

A: what I need to do to hear pearl jam atmos mixes or
B: confirm that there isn't enough added to be worth the effort
Here ya go, stip. Hope this helps!

Thanks - but then I also need to go to a site that is specifically offering them. This is just apple music and the CD I just bought (which requires a blu-ray player for atmos)?

Conflating a couple of things here. Don't want this to turn into an ad-hoc tech support thread. You had mentioned earlier that you were gonna check headphones when you got home. Do me a favor and send me a quick reminder via PM when you do, and, I'll be happy to answer any questions you have. Cool?

Looks like RSD release will be yellow vinyl. It implies special packaging, but that's probably bullshit.

Good lord. That Black Circle tribute band are already covering ‘Dark Matter’ and posting videos. I don’t think cover bands should imitate immediately. I mean, give the band a chance to celebrate their achievement before copying them. They did this with Gigaton too. Pearl Jam seem to support them but I would be kinda pissed.

They played it live before Pearl Jam did.

The most promising little nugget from the latest SOLAT podcast was PJ Tour Kid describing Setting Sun as one of the "heavy" songs. This was certainly music to my ears since that title was conjuring up unwanted visions of a River Cross/Future Days type cheesefest.

I've been looking for any write ups other than the Spin article. Anything else they mentioned?

Edit: listening to it now

Probably the last clip on metal door snippets.

Not been listering to any more metal door clips. Either need a better leak, or wait for the album.
