I think I'd probably point at DTE for the ultimate PJ political song, but these are really good.

I enjoy Matt in this song and it might end up as one of my favorites on Lightning Bolt. The chorus still makes me think of Incubus every time. I LOVE the outro with all the weird noises.

This is one of the two songs that Matt makes me believe could be straight off Riot Act, but with a more energized Ed. The drum-funk is one part "Can't Keep" to two parts "You Are."

Dte has a great metaphor running through the doing, and some great lyrics, but some are a bit clunky. It is inconsistent

So is this :) But we need the printed lyrics to tell. I might attempt them.

Are they? Nothing jumped out, but that doesn't mean they aren't there.

Someone might've done this, but I'm doing it for myself so fuck it:

Keep on locking your doors,
keep on building your floors,
keep on just as before.
Pay disasters no mind,
they didn't get you this time,
no prints left at the crime.

Our ship's come in
and it's sinking.

Everything is possible
in the hearts and minds of men.
Somehow it's the biggest things
that keep on slipping right through our hands.
By thinking we're infallible,
we are tempting fate instead.
Time we'd best begin
here at the ending.

Want a third second chance?
Put your faith in big hands,
pay no more than a glance.
All good things come to an end,
this could be good as it gets.
How's the view from the fence?

You think we've been here before,
you are mistaken.

Of everything that's possible
in the hearts and minds of men,
when progress could be plausible,
in the verse we curse ourselves.
By thinking we're infallible,
we are tempting fate instead.

Time we'd best begin
here at the ending.

Of everything that's possible
in the hearts and minds of men,
somehow it is the biggest things
that keep on slipping right through our hands.
By thinking we're infallible,
we are tempting fate instead.

Time we'd best begin
here at the ending.

---

Yeah, these are good, sarcastic lyrics about political apathy.

No duds, which is nice. Even eddies great lyrics usually have one or two off lines.

This is probably my favourite one so far. Please say you'll make an album of them.

This song has a great start, but that chorus... it really ruins the song for me :?

I like that version better than the one on the album.

As much as this song grates on me, it should probably be the next single.

I quite enjoy this song, and it's really with Pendulum as my favorites right now, neck and neck. Those two are the first on repeated listens I am connecting to on a level far greater than just it sounds cool.
