My thought it was some commercial from 1982 for a computer. She couldn’t make sense of it when I played it on a recent roadtrip.

Wow, the new Kim Petras album is great. I've been a fan of hers for years but her last two LPs were kinda underwhelming so I wasn't in a hurry to get to this one, but she is back on her game in a big way now. Possibly her best album, at least her best since Clarity.

Daughter or wife? I mean, I get why some people don't vibe with Boards. Same with Aphex Twin's more ambient stuff. It sounds like elevator music to them. But if you sperg out on it with a decent pair of headphones... brather.

What, you couldn't tell from me leaving out a word whether it was my daughter or wife? You're slipping.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. It was my wife. She said it was definitely "different." I hadn't listened to them in years, but I really like the new one. It's perfect road-trip music.

Cool song. I'm going to ignore the hyperbole because I understand it's a representation of your mental illness. Gobless.

Man, I feel the complete opposite. I think there is too much good shit this year to dedicate adequate time to.

I have spent almost zero time with new tunes this year. Instead I've been reconnecting with my music library through a huge Musicbrainz Picard Metadata tidy up and a deep dive into trip hop and down tempo. Very unlike me, but enjoyable none the less.

Fruit Bats - The Landfill
Sault - Chapter 1
Everett Nealon - Eagle Fern (this is my friends' 11yo kid's solo guitar album, it's on Bandcamp and it's great for Fahey-heads, etc.)
Anna McClellan - Space, you big cloud
Elder - Through Zero

Looking forward to new Lambchop later this summer.

Blondeshell’s Violins is pretty cool; sounds like The Cranberries or some post grunge pop band from 98

Elder's album fucking rules. This year has been crazy.
