Wow, the new Kim Petras album is great. I've been a fan of hers for years but her last two LPs were kinda underwhelming so I wasn't in a hurry to get to this one, but she is back on her game in a big way now. Possibly her best album, at least her best since Clarity.

Daughter or wife? I mean, I get why some people don't vibe with Boards. Same with Aphex Twin's more ambient stuff. It sounds like elevator music to them. But if you sperg out on it with a decent pair of headphones... brather.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. It was my wife. She said it was definitely "different." I hadn't listened to them in years, but I really like the new one. It's perfect road-trip music.

I like the album enough, its pretty cool but its sure asks for a mood

We are almost halfway through the year n 26 had been kinda underwhelming.. I was trying to think of a top albums list n got like 3 or 4

Man, I feel the complete opposite. I think there is too much good shit this year to dedicate adequate time to.

I have spent almost zero time with new tunes this year. Instead I've been reconnecting with my music library through a huge Musicbrainz Picard Metadata tidy up and a deep dive into trip hop and down tempo. Very unlike me, but enjoyable none the less.

Everett Nealon - Eagle Fern (this is my friends' 11yo kid's solo guitar album, it's on Bandcamp and it's great for Fahey-heads, etc.)
