These reviews are so amazing I'm not sure I won't ever fully remove them from the songs, now that I've read them.
How can a person who has read this thread ever hear And Your Bird Can Sing and not think of "Jesus, evenslow, why did you pick this song? I can't really find anything redeeming about this." Or hear If I Fell and not go "Gosh, it almost feels like the song is being, I don't know, disrespectful in some way."

I don't like the plinking sing songy guitar. I don't like the reedy sweetness in the vocals. I think it is a nice melody, and the harmonies would be great if I liked the vocals. As is they definitely soften the stuff I don't like. I hate the start until they start singing together. There's something cloyingly sentimental about this song that is unappealing, because it also feels inauthentic. Parts like" 'Cause I couldn't stand the pain and I would be sad if our new love was in vain' seem way too Hallmarkish for me. I can't imagine the people signing this song ever feeling pain, and so in that respect it almost makes me feel like the song is being, I don't know, disrespectful in some way. Like it's a joke at my expense. Not quite mocking, but approaching that. Actually, there's something curiously courtly about this song. Like someone read about love in a book and decided 'gee that would be swell, I'll go ask someone to be in love with me' Innocent in a way, but not innocent enough to be charming.
Have you listened to I've Just Seen A Face? I know it's not one of the three evenslow posted, but check that out, if you still have any stomach for this at all.
I've got an hour, provided mia stays sleeping in my lap

Contrary to what my contributions to this thread may indicate, I don't really listen to The Beatles that often. But when I do, it's almost always Revolver.

It really is redefining. Like McCullough writing about Truman.

This is catchy in a good, brisk, way. I kinda liked this one. It's certainly my favorite of this batch. A nice playful frustration here.

Michael stipe once said in an interview that he didn't like the beatles that much and thought they were overrated. I really felt a kinship with him that day

I'm both afraid to ask what you mean and really curious - please could you explain?
How being a beatles fan means you never have to explain or justify yourself, how your opinions are automatically valid by virtue of liking the Beatles, and how someone who doesn't is suspect, other, existing outside, and having to fight for their inclusion.
Didn't we debunk this a thousand pages ago, though?
the white people told the black people to get over it, and that they all had at least one black friend
I'm so tired... I wonder, should I get up and fix myself a drink...?

huh, I always thought this song was longer.
This is a sweet song. I'd like it a lot more if the beatles weren't singing it, but still. It's a good song. I particularly like the way everything else cuts out for the 'in my life i've loved them all' lyrics.
This song makes me wish I was at a wedding. Or at least a bar mitzvah.
Okay, I forgot about that toy piano breakdown in the middle. That's horrible. so is the falsetto at the end.

If anyone needs a new signature, you could do a lot worse.
