All it says it BSR, better sound reproduction. No serial number anywhere to be seen. It closes up and has a handle for portability.

You can try searching through this, though without a model number (and with lots of pictures missing) it may be tough: http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable-da ... hanger=any

Re: The Vinyl Thread: Still Listen On Wax, Don't Use The CD
I just pre-ordered TMBG's new one on vinyl. The album drops on 3/5, but I guess because of some issues with the pressing the vinyl won't arrive until the end of March. But I get a digital download with it. So...
Pretty excited about it.

I love the sound of "Electric Ladyland." I should probably just order both of the other two Experience records, right?

Went in to Cactus yesterday for that Atoms For Peace record and walked out with a copy of I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings priced reasonably in the used bins. The vinyl is slightly warped, but I can't detect any real loss in sound quality.
Still haven't heard Amok.

I got I Might Be Wrong for something silly, like $11 (new). It's a great sounding record.

Probably, but b/c they're great albums on their own. There's a definite progression with the 3 albums.Simple Torture wrote:I love the sound of "Electric Ladyland." I should probably just order both of the other two Experience records, right?

That's about what I got it for, too. And yeah, it sounds crystal clear. The format brings out a lot of intricate things that I've never picked up on the CD version. That tour was absolutely insane when it came to audio manipulation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this collection the only one in Radiohead's OK Computer and beyond output that features tracks produced by someone other than Godrich?Simple Torture wrote:I got I Might Be Wrong for something silly, like $11 (new). Chud, do you want to make a new Discogs entry for Transfiguration of Vincent, or should I?

Re: The Vinyl Thread: Still Listen On Wax, Don't Use The CD
Completed my NIN LP collection...

It's one of the most common NIN records, but I kept putting it off because I already have the CD and DVD-Audio and kept asking myself "how many different formats do I need of one album?"
Hoping to take it for a first spin later this afternoon.

What edition of The Downward Spiral is that? I've seen the repress from a few years ago around, and the price has been reasonable, but just like you, haven't pulled the trigger. Interested to hear how it sounds!

This happens far too often when I go record shopping. Glad I'm not the only one.southp wrote:I kept putting it off because I already have the CD and DVD-Audio and kept asking myself "how many different formats do I need of one album?"

The correct answer to this problem is... get rid of all your CDs!surface the north wrote:This happens far too often when I go record shopping. Re: The Vinyl Thread: Still Listen On Wax, Don't Use The CD
I've...I've thought about doing this recently. I probably want to hold on to some things (Pearl Jam bootlegs, certain things that have DVDs), but I honestly haven't looked at things like my Nirvana CDs, Soundgarden CDs, heavy metals CDs, or CDs by bands I don't even listen to anymore. I don't think I'd even spend the time doing eBay auctions for these; maybe just give them to Goodwill?southp wrote:The correct answer to this problem is... get rid of all your CDs!surface the north wrote:This happens far too often when I go record shopping. My cousin used to work for a major record label (Sony, I think, but it might have been Universal) and she jumped ship because she could tell that the advent of digital music might cause her executive job to disappear; she has a nice cushy job now with Hard Rock International. Anyways, she has a storage locker in NYC somewhere that holds about ten thousand CDs and she says she cannot give them away; last time we spoke, she was still paying monthly for them to collect dust.
