Agreed, once it became obvious they were going to win the division another opening round loss could only be viewed as another disappointment. Win tomorrow and I'm good with one less monkey on the back.

Very interesting article this week in SI about the “Cobb County” Braves.
It’s basically about how they moved to the white part of town, but that’s where all the Braves fans are. And that move led to the rise of the urban population becoming fans of Atlanta’s soccer team instead.
I kept thinking about the Sonics and if they ever come back, where would the stadium go. I wanna say it was like 75% or more of the season ticket holders lived on what we call The Eastside (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond).

I'll have to check that article out. If by "urban" you/they mean Hispanic than very much yes but if you mean Black than I really don't see that as much. And of course soccer has long been popular in the latin community.

ugh. And I can say that, I lived in Bothell for a short time. I hated it on the eastside.

I don't think I can handle a St Louis sports fan drunk on a deep Cards playoff run AND a Stanley Cup win.

Not even the Falcons could be down by 10 before going on offense.
Another chapter for the big book of spectacular Atlanta sports fails.

7 years of rebuilding, and they haven’t improved a single inch

Were they up 2-0 in the series?
- Spoiler: show
- I read your post as “going to Atlanta” as in geographically that is where they’re going. I was confused at first.

4th straight elimination game loss at home and a record 10 straight losing playoff series.

Sad to hear that Hall of Fame pitcher and Braves play by play analyst Don Sutton passed away earlier today.
