It was unfortunate timing really. It was the Houllier phase and then he had his health problems and they brought Amex McLeish in. Neither of them knew their elbow from the arsehole and the team has suffered since.

I wish they hadn't sold Eric Lichaj too. He was an okay player.

Klinnsman doesn't rate Lichaj at all. He hasn't been called up since Bob Bradley was coach I dont think. I'm pretty disappointed with how he has developed but hes better than most of the guys we trot out at RB.

I dont mind Lichaj, but I prefer Chander and even Cherundolo to him.

Klinnsmann suspended for "violent" action towards the referee. With Donovan and Beasley on the field i'm not sure he will be needed on the sidelines anyway. My prediction is 4-1 and I get to move up a whole bunch of sections due to all the Mexican fans not being able to unload the tickets for the final they no longer care to see...

Shea was a beast! I'm warming to Klinsman. I've liked his style lately.

Great atmosphere at the game today. Talked with some Mexico fans who watched the game with paper bags over their heads :haha: . Mix Diskerud looks like something special to me, great vision in the midfield.

Stuart Holden's career is probably over though and that is a really sad thing for a guy who just 3 o 4 years ago was such a bright talent. Great locker room guy too. I hope its not an ACL but I don't see how it was anything else....

Any ideas for Columbus guys? I'm thinking about bringing a drum. It will be my first supporters sections game with the American Outlaws. I want to really bring it.

Sucks about Holden, it's such a shame to see all that talent go unfulfilled. Reminds me of John O'Brien.

tommy, is Dempsey going to play, like,....at all this year? I don't think they will sell him as he is versatile and cheap. But I don't see him getting many minutes this season...

I think Dempsey is on his way out. It's a shame, for sure, but with this being a WC year I guess he's going to want more playing time than we can offer him.

He may be headed back to MLS.

I would be very disappointed if this happened. The MLS has come a long way, but it's a substandard league.

It doesn't make any sense that he'd go back to MLS. He could make much more money overseas, and I think it'd really piss off Jurgen if arguably his best player left the best league in the world for MLS. FWIW, there is another rumor that he may end up in Everton.

Should Wenger not keep his mouth shut about transfers that don't involve his club?
