That it is.

I love Snail and Crush.

I hope they play I Am One on this tour. Jimmy on the drums on that song is just wonderful.

No, no, that's most of Mellon Collie.

I jest! Kind of. Anyway, I'm enjoying Adore.

Honestly, I thought about trying to rank the first-generation SP albums and I couldn't do it. I love them all. Siamese Dream will always be my favorite but the others are interchangeable to me. There is something I love in all them.

So instead I am going to list 20 underlooked songs that I absolutely adore:

Snail
Set the Ray to Jerry
The Aeroplane Flies High (Turns Left, Looks Right)
The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete
La Dolly Vita
Speed Kills
Obscured
Here Is No Why
By Starlight
Frail & Bedazzled
Behold! The Night Mare
Blissed and Gone
Vanity
Let Me Give the World to You
In the Arms of Sleep

And to file under almost completely unknown songs that I love:
In the Arms of Sheep
Tulips
Moleasskiss
Identify
Speed

I miss this band, even if they technically still exist.

In the Arms of Sleep and By Starlight are both incredible.

These are top 25 or thereabouts for me. Aeroplane is top ten.

By Starlight is top 10 for me

I know Im probably in the minority, but I find Mellon Collie pretty consistent. Even a single album with the best tracks wouldn't have the charm this album has for me.

I doubt that is the minority.

Yeah you're probably right. But I believe the "too many filler" is a common complaint on the album. I don't know if it is the case here anyways.

In a spot of fortuitous timing I just picked up the Aeroplane Flies High reissue boxset for a relative steal on eBay, looking forward to digging in.

$60!

(That's $45 USD for those of you across the Pacific.)

Solid purchase. Good condition? I feel like that thing must have come out the better part of twenty years ago.

Like new; it's the gonzo 6CD/1DVD reissue, not the original box.

And it'll distract you from Adore, so it's win win.
