I'd like to see them do a Jack Irons 1998 show that isn't 3/5/98.

I have no idea why, but I was always under the impression that Matt had joined the band by then :?

My world is completely unaffected by this newfound information!!

I've got a feeling this will be what's included with the No Code/Yield box. It's mentioned in the PJ20 book that they recorded that whole Pacific tour with the intention of releasing a live album (before they wet their pants over Matt Cameron and went with what became LO2L instead).

I'm still holding out hope that they abandon the idea of further box sets.

I'd much rather see something like that get a Vault release.

Yeah, I guess a vault release has less chance of getting butchered to fit on a single disc.

I personally hope they continue the boxsets up to Riot Act so some unearthed gems from those studio sessions see the light of day.

I bet there are a bunch of internal reasons why there hasn't been a Jack-era show release:

1. Possible Yield/No Code box set
2. Lack of complete of shows or shows in mono (Last Exit from PJ20 is in mono)
3. Ed diatribes that he may be embarrassed about
4. Every Not For You and Oceans giving shoutouts to Ed's ex-wife

None of this matters to us, the superfans, as we lust after the warts and all completeness of PJ's entire catalog.

Just listened to this straight through for the first time. I enjoyed it. Might be the best version of Soon Forget ever performed.

Received my vinyl today in bullet-proof packaging. Happy to report that I was one of the lucky ones to receive blemish-free records, can't wait to spin them :bammer:
