Anybody have these things unzipped. I tried downloading it, can't open it on my computer. I downloaded it to my iPad and it downloads into my Mega but doesn't play. I'm retarded with this shit. Pm me please and thank you!

I can never seem to recreate an album in my mind with new songs (probably just a lack of creativity), but the question this stuff brings to my mind is, "why the fuck hasn't Pearl Jam put a fucking B-side on their vinyl singles since Yield?" Fuckers.

It's ironic, because the volume and quality of the b-sides on the early days were a big part of helping them create a fanbase. Even then, with just one album out, there was already lots of exploring to do deeper down the tunnel.

That, and some of those b-sides found their way onto the radio, ironically pushing album sales of records they weren't actually on.

So clearly a lose-lose for the band.

The thing I love about PJ demo session leaks is that they sound so refreshing, unpolished, and lack the pressure they themselves apply to turn song into shiny things that are supposed to sounds like what they believe they are supposed to/want to sound like, rather than just being the sum of their parts-- five of them sitting around a room, jamming, bringing their own personal influences and ideas to the jam session, resulting in songs so loose and emotive, like these.

Because we were never meant to hear them, they are free to be free.

And then there's the whole writing and releasing a song that has to fit into their live show. While their live shows are something of a a rocking emotional experience, that I love and have converted many a friend, I'd gladly give that all up, to have them all sit down or just chill out and play a chilled out vibed set, with the same kind of emotion and heaviness a la 2000 tour. But again, everyone in the band is happy, they feel they have to be current PJ being current PJ, and the scraps of demo leaks we get tossed leave us hanging on to the wish they'll someday return to the creative output many of us long for and know they in actual fact can and have, just not for the general public.

i don't know if the prior release of Yellow Ledbetter as a b-side hampered sales of Lost Dogs by very much.

A good chunk of LD was previously released, Riot Act b-sides included.

im loving both of those Rearranged jams...they are very cool..they both seem like something Matt would write.

The Binaural singles & b-sides were all live tracks and different mixes of LP tracks. No exclusive songs.

As a point of interest, I just listened to Pendulum again for the first time in a very long while, actually listened to it twice in a row. It still sounds the same to me as it did a year ago, still holds up, and I still contend that it is the best song they've released publicly in 10+ years. It evokes the same emotion and looseness as many of these demos, the PJ I want to hear.
