my girlfriend and me watched this a month ago and it's fantastic enough to make us think about going to Iceland sometime in the near future.
This is what we did; Sarah spent the time mostly pointing out the amazing knitwear, and we both talked about visiting Reykjavik, something we've wanted to do forever (well, since we discovered SR). We'll probably try and find out where Jonsi lives and stalk him.

Was it at least good? Does anyone open for them? Was it a long concert?

Of course it was good. Johanna Barwick opened, she started right at 7:30, was done by 8. Can't say I loved her (she's very experimental and just goes with it when she's "creating"), but, it was pretty fancy watching her do all her loops and being in that moment with her. She also had a video going in the background - her videos actually reminded me of what Sigur Ros did on their 2006 tour. Can't give you too many details of the actual show, though. You'll see soon enough and it's best to not have any expectations when you see them. I'm a super feeler and tend to "take in" too much at most shows. I cried again last night, which was to be expected, but it wasn't exactly warranted.
As for SR... setlist isn't up yet so I don't know everything they played. I only recognized about half their songs and can only name those from Takk. Sorry
This show had a very different vibe compared to 2006. It's nice when you can see/hear/feel the growth of a band over a seven year period. It was a much heavier show this time around and the imagery wasn't as light and airy, either. I was telling Jason on the way home last night that their show is like an art instillation, it really grabs all of your senses if you let it. The crowd was decent, typically we sit with the biggest assholes in the crowd and last night was no exception. A few girls felt the need to discuss (no inside voices at all) their recent drug use. The venue was only about half full which allowed us to jump up a few rows so they didn't ruin the experience.
Jonsi was angelic and was very quiet, seems he talked a bit in Chicago, mentioned how beautiful the venue was, last night not a peep.
Hoping they come around this area again, but I doubt it since ticket sales were awful. For everyone else who saw them this year, was it the same for you? Were the venues only about half full? We'll be seeing Pearl Jam at the same location in October (smallest venue on the tour) and I hope that means a magical setlist

Forgot to include length of the show... I don't really recall what time they were done. I'm going to say 11-11:30 but Doc probably knows the exact time.

Thanks! Our tickets are in a smaller venue as well, and even though we have the very back row they really aren't bad seats. But I know the show isn't sold out, so we should be able to move up as well.

show was actually over right at 10:30, and im pretty sure they were on right at about 8:30 so it was a good hour and 45 or 2 hours. i only knew one song which Chloe will have to post the name of but i think it starts with an H, and of course it was the highlight for me since i knew it, but every song was just amazing to see( though i couldnt watch all of them) and hear, most of them were just build slowly and built and built, it was such a cool experience. the only problem i had with the show was the brightness of some of the light flashes and strobes, at least 2 songs it caused me to have to just close my eyes for the whole song, but that gave it a whole other cool experience, eyes closed with bright flashes to go along with the songs. im sure anyone who listens to Sigur Ros will love it and even someone who doesnt know them should love it also.

we were up on the wing on the left of the stage as you are looking at the stage, and would have liked to be in the back so we had a straight on view, but were still very happy with our spot ( after we moved away from those dumb bitches ) but this place supposedly can hold 12 to 14 k people, and i there had to have been less then 2k people there, very wierd to see, but our last show was americanarama in a 20k outdoor venue and as people came in they found out the lawn was closed so their lawn tickets turned into seated tickets, and they didnt even fill all the seats, so 2 shows in a row that didnt sell.

I saw them when they played the States in April, and they played all arenas/large venues. The places were pretty full then. It seems they're playing large venues in smaller markets, which may explain the lack of attendance.
They play here in Chicago on Monday at the Auditorium Theatre, so I'm really looking forward to that one (especially after they played the UIC Pavilion (the worse venue in Chicago) the last time).

The venue we are seeing them in only holds about 3,500 people, and I don't think it is sold out.
