Cool song. Kinda bummed they won't be playing Eaux Claires this year. Although it looks like the whole band will be there...

We have a live music show filmed in a little church here in Kerry called other voices. Kinda everyone has played it.

I've seen them live...5 or 6 times? All great, but they did a 2-night stint on the High Violet tour that was phenomenal, and seeing them in a small venue on the Boxer tour was a great memory.

They played a small club in Rhode Island right after the last LP came out, and I really wish I had gone, but my wife was working 2 jobs at the time and it seemed like a dick move to be like, "Hey, after class I'm heading down to Lupo's..."

Listening to Boxer right now, what a fucking great album. Definetely head and shoulders above the rest of the catalog.
Also I was wrong about the best songs from TWFM being a lot weaker than the heights of their other albums. Pink Rabbits is one of the best things this band has done.

1. Boxer is wonderful.
2. TWFM has several great songs. Humiliation is easily top tier. I'd argue there are several other great songs, but Humiliation is a notably special song.

I listened to the last three albums start to finish this week and I think High Violet might be my favourite.

The new single may be one of their best.
Trouble Will Find Me has several winners on it...Sea of Love, Pink Rabbits, This is the Last Time and Humiliation. Bloodbuzz Ohio is still my favourite track.

About Today
Ive seen them a handful of times too, starting with them opening for arcade fire at the DAR hall in DC. AF was touring black mirror. that was one of my top 10 concerts ive seen. but my favorite national show was the opener for high violet at the BAM in brooklyn. They had sufjan and richard reed perry there playing along and singing, along with a string quartet. the show was filmed but was never released but i'd love to get my hands on it. not sure why they didnt release it.
