my parents gave me their Fios password
but I have like 2nd gen apple tv so I dont get the latest channels
if it's like $100-200, one time, good for several years; rather than like $1XX per month, forever; then its totally worth it
Nice! We haven't looked back since making the switch in August.bada wrote:Cancelled Comcast cable today. Went with PS Vue.
that's a bummer. i was thinking about trying it out, but haven't heard glowing reviews at allverb_to_trust wrote:I tried a 7 day trial of Sling to get the USA soccer game on beIN this week. Sling seems to want to make you pick packages. Pretty disappointing you can't just pick 20 channels you want.
Aren't most NFL games on broadcast television, and therefor available for free over the air in stunning true 1080p hd?Self wrote:Do any of these cord cutting options have NFL games yet?
I live in a valley. I've tried mid-range antennas and got almost nothing. Maybe I'll look at the badass ones, but two games a week are on cable.cutuphalfdead wrote:Aren't most NFL games on broadcast television, and therefor available for free over the air in stunning true 1080p hd?Self wrote:Do any of these cord cutting options have NFL games yet?

The nice thing about more and more streaming options coming to play is that they are month to month and much easier to drop if they lose channels. I'm very intrigued by what Hulu has in the works and what the channel lineup will be.cutuphalfdead wrote:yeah MLBNetwork and NESN were the only things keeping me tied to cable.
I pay about 100 bucks a season for MLBtv to get all of the out of market games streaming. I'd pay a bit more for that if they'd stop blacking out local games and also stream MLBNetwork.
But now that I know about PS Vue I'll be dropping cable as soon as I'm contractually able to.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
