Glad to hear they will be addressing Funkhouser in some fashion this season; hands down was one of the best characters on the show.

Y'all were right; great start to the season. It was fun to see Larry riffing again and his classic way of tying so many threads together. I was considering dumping HBO since Maher & Oliver put so much of their content on YouTube now and there was no other series I was regularly but I'll keep it at least through spring now.
There is a history of Funkhauser family funerals on the series.
Richard Lewis sounds old now too.
Anyone else pick up on Susie copying Alex Borstein's look from the '18 awards season?

Leon on MAGA hats: “You know what I noticed? No one ever where’s those hats on backwards. I mean, if you’re getting ass your kicked you want to see it coming.”

I loved that line.

Breaking the selfie stick
Knocking over the scooters
Pushing the kid in the wheelchair for no apparent reason as he was running out of the hospital room

I thought the premiere was a bit overstuffed, and if I was going to axe something it would've been Susie's pregnant friend. But there was so much good stuff in here that it's hard to complain. I cannot believe how just a bit of stubble transformed Jeff into Weinstein. I know this probably was filmed months ago, but it would've been great if he had bumped his knee and started shuffling around, grabbing things to support himself. There's still time.

While the Larry/Cherry plot has plenty of legs for some good comedy over the course of the season, I hope they don't make this season "the season where Larry is accused of sexual harrassment." Those jokes were good in the one episode, but I don't think it can be sustained.

One more final thought: my god, everyone looks so damn old. Richard Lewis has looked 75 since the 1990s, but Larry, Cheryl, Susie, Jeff...everyone looked like they had aged 15 years since the last season a few years ago. Add this on to Bob Einstein's death in real life and Curb seems like it's going to be all about facing your mortality this year. Great!

Definitely doing this in sequence.
