Bucking my previous standard, I also loved the Newfoundland one. Apparently the Joe Beef guys are totally sober now, which is a sea change.

tragabigzanda wrote:Oh shit! You guys are right that the Queens one is fantastic, forgot about that one. I know Ruddo is a big fan of the Nashville one, I should maybe watch that one again too.
I liked the Nashville one too. Funnily enough, I watched that one and the Charleston one after I visited those cities. It's fun to get someone else's perspective on places you just visited, especially when that someone else is Bourdain.

On his birthday. This is a good read

Anthony Bourdain: What makes a ‘normal’ happy family? I didn’t know any normal people

In honor of #BourdainDay here's a pic of the best meal I've ever had. It was in Porto, Portugal.

Thank you Mr. Bourdain for all you gave. I am a better person because of your influence and inspiration. Miss you every day.

:peace: :heartbeat: :peace:

Also, another travel pic. One of my favorite places on the planet. I always think of Tony when I visit Yelapa. The people are warm and open and amazing. The food is excellent. It's a private paradise. #BourdainDay

Wait now that I thought about it, John Dunsworth aka Mr. Lahey from Trailer Park Boys. I actually got to see him and Randy Bobandy live a couple years before he died too.

Watched a few eps of Parts Unknown for the first time in almost a year. Just remarkable. I'm so glad he got to make that show. And I wonder who is there to fill the void? Who steps up? There are plenty of travel shows and cooking shows but none like his. No voice like his.

Miss him every day.
