but Dave A does not get to attend
because Boom has contributed more to pearl jam's "fame" than Dave A

No. But since he actively plays with them, he gets to perform. Assuming they do one that he usually plays on.

I'm pretty sure I can trace the moment where my interest in PJ started downhill after the apex...
....and that was when Boom joined.

One of the finest moments of my life was when I took my wife (then girlfriend) to the Philly 2005 show, and she joined in when people started the "BOOOOOOOOM" chant by saying, "BOOOOOOOO"
