I think my schedule peaks at 67.

It'll be interesting to move into the strength part of my schedule.

I've never actually done 3-mile speed intervals before. I think I've only ever done 2-mile speed intervals twice.

My legs are probably gonna explode.

67 what? MILES? In a week?

Jesus.

67 is a lot. I think my highest week ever is in the 50s. I should probably figure out how many miles my peak week will be. It's hard to tell when the training plan breaks it down into meters, kilometers, minutes, etc.

These assholes ran past me a few weeks ago and one was all like "more than 57 to 62 miles a week and it just feels like you don't have a life."

It's really about what's important to you. An hour to an hour and a half a day, 5 or 6 times a week really isn't much.

Think about how much time most people spend watching bullshit on TV or looking at stupid crap on their phone each day.

Most people who say they don't have time to exercise are full of shit, they've just decided to spend most of their time doing stupid shit.

100% agree. I have no trouble carving out an hour/hour and a half four or fives times a week to go running. I love it. But I still rarely get more than 30 miles in doing that. I'm slow as fuck.

Slow or fast, who cares?

You're out there exercising, while the rest of the losers are watching too much TV, playing videogames and RMing.

Any of you fellas use bone conducting headphones when you run? My wife got me a pair for xmas and they're pretty sweet. It's nice to be able to listen to music and still hear when cars, bikes, deer, etc are bearing down on me.

No. I've thought about ordering a pair.

How do they fit/stay on when your running? Do they flop around?

I haven't tried running with them without a hat or headband yet. The fit is kind of awkward. On my head at least, in the default position there's a 1" gap between the band and the back of my head. To keep them in place I push the band up until it's flush with my head and then use a hat to hold it in place.

That being said, they're pretty lightweight and feel well-balanced, so I don't think they would move too much on their own. I have the Aftershokz Air.

Maybe I'll buy some new shoes next week and start running again.

Dead serious! Just retired my first pair after 450 miles, breaking in my 2nd pair.

I usually run on asics, but the store that had all of my fitting info on file went out of business.

I know, I know r2d...minimalism is the way to go. Fitting is for the birds. blah blah blah

I like 24-hour races, but there's nothing that makes me want to run around a half-mile block in Queens 6,000 times.

I haven't watched that doc but last night I listened to an episode of the Outside Mag podcast about it. I was falling asleep while listening to it but apparently one guy ran a few extra laps at the end to make it an even 5000K? Crazy.
