So, in the end, after 3 years of Lesnar destroying every active guy on the roster, 79 year old Goldberg, who has always been really bad at his job, gets the Undertaker streak rub. Genius booking, that's how you create new stars for the future.

So, Goldberg wins championship/Rumble and new star beats him at 'Mania? Ugh.

I dunno, whatever they do, they've basically ruined Lesnar. Who cares what happens with him now that they've told us an old man off the streets is better than their entire roster.

Meh, this sort of stuff happens all the time in wrestling. This was a giant balls up (probably because Goldberg can't actually go for long?), but they just have to do a "Lesnar gets angry and destroys stuff" bit before his next match with whoever.

it's not even that...i don't know if you watched wcw back in the day, but he would regularly have a 5-7 miinute entrances and 2 minute matches

My problem with it is, that they are saying that this guy in his 50s that hasn't worked a match in decades is significantly better than anyone on their active roster. Randy Orton took a brutal concussion to help them give Goldberg the rub?

That was really stupid. Fun ppv though.

Not my finest moment. I am usually fairly decent at predicting these things, but not even close this time.

Oh yes, around his time was probably back when I stopped watching

It's literally the definition of member berries to bring back a guy from the heyday to get the old marks believing again. I bet it's treated like "Lesnar didn't prepare because he thought it'd be a walk in the park." Something similar to when Anderson Silva started acting arrogant and eventually was his downfall

Weird that Goldberg comes back with a devastating win, but the true legend and icon, Sting, only got losses in major ppvs.

If Goldberg had faced HHH, he'd have lost too.
