If it were a 1:00 game I wouldn't have run any of the playoffs games until it ended. 4:30 means I can run them both now.

So has Cash really been playing poorly enough to warrant being benched?

I benched him against lefties for most of the season.

Yeah but this is two games in a row where the winning run was scored by Nomar. Also, he's slashing .500/.563/1.000 this postseason.
But yeah, Grove was phenomenal.

I might post the MOPs earlier than midnight. Kaius is the only ballot we may still get it, and even if all three ballots did come in they couldn't mathematically change who won.

Is #5 retire worthy for Nomar in Boston? He was pretty damn beloved by you guys. With good reason. First time I saw him play was the College World Series when he was at Georgia Tech (with Varitek oddly enough) and it was hard not to like him. I was 13 so it was a lot to do qith his name. I ran into Nomar in Omaha during the CWS one year when he was working for ESPN (I think he still does? I honestly forget) and he was super nice to my buddies and I. Signed a ball and took a pic with my Red Sox fan friend.
Our thread has hit pages 162 and 163. I miss baseball.

I have a hard time determining if a team should retire a number. Royals are a good example of this. Brett makes sense as does Dick Howser (manager of the 85 team) but Frank White as well. You'd think Amos Otis makes more sense. As does Saberhagen or Quisenberry.
