This.

Why are you idiots wasting the storage space on the RM server with this topic. Let it fucking die.

It’s called news and debate dipshit. Don’t want to add to it don’t look in the thread and post how stupid it is. I’d figured that was easy enough for you to understand

And in both cases I took the time to look up, the former candidate that was indicted is in power again... though I'd say one was likely targeted bc of his party and his opponent being in power only to be exonerated. And one is trying to stack the court to get his charges thrown out as we speak, hence the massive protests against him.
Ok, I agree you are correct

Yours is the only country where he will get away with it.

These charges are nonsense, but he’s being tried in one of the most partisan districts in the country so don’t count it out yet.

The Georgia situation is very different and far more serious for him.

This feels like an unnecessarily rude post. Maybe you should take a break from this infotainment - it seems like it's riling you up.

You haven’t reached peak Internet until you’ve wasted time complaining about how other people waste their time on the Internet

As a citizen of the US, I’ve got skin in the game, and I believe the codependent relationship between the media and the culture warriors is destroying our country, less by virtue of the direct impacts, but more by the fact that the prioritization of this shit effectively bumps broad-consensus issues to the bottom of the page.

Top page of every media outlet is covering Trump, book banning, drag Queen story hour. All of this stuff is retarded.

Hospitals. Jobs. Teacher salaries. Housing affordability. Immigration. These are the things that should be getting national coverage and driving conversations, but they’re not because everyone is hungry to see their specific worldview reflected all around them, and to crucify anyone who doesn’t hold the same worldview.

I could give a fuck how any of you spend your time at an individual level, but en masse, you are collectively eroding the national dialogue around the things that actually drive human dignity and individual liberty.
And do you think this input is going to have an impact? Or are you just making your view known, to vent? It's clear that most people aren't concerned with what actually matters, but just want entertainment. Most people are pretty stupid, and their voices tend to be the loudest. Let us just count our blessings that there are still enough intelligent important people out there who do actually care about what matters, and point and laugh at the big stupid clown man because it's fun.

This is like complaining that too many people go to see the worst movies and it's drowning out the good ones. I agree, but you're just wasting your breath.

Lately I think all news I have no control over or doesn't directly affect me is a psyop from the demiurge and his minions.

I care so little about this issue in particular.

I hope this feeling lasts.

My friend:

I barely visit this site anymore, so I’m not one to say, but I bet if you posted more about those things…you would get responses. Maybe even start a conversation that wouldn’t have otherwise happened.

In point of fact, I only popped on this morning to see if you all were talking about the Clarence Thomas news (you weren’t) or Republican state legislators trying to expel elected associates for supporting a gun control protest (you weren’t).

Now I do admit that this is a fun thread to visit right now, but only because it is objectively funny to watch people hunt for a reason why a rich person everybody agrees does crimes shouldn’t even be put to trial or properly accused of those crimes unless they are the right crimes or circumstances. So long as that continues, this thread is a good, healthy laugh to read.

Whatever buzz I sought was maliciously killed off, however, when I instead found your post scolding these people for entertaining me. I hope you’re happy.

Watching Bi’s journey towards a Trump vote in ‘24 will be fun to watch. We’re well on our way.

It's only good vibes in the weight loss thread and poop thread. So don't give up on RM yet.

Earlier this winter, I asked the guys in the running thread if we could merge the weight loss thread into that one and the response was pretty negative. Almost aggressive even.
