He was in Die Hard 4, which compared with the 5th one, is a masterpiece.
But yeah, he has a tendency to star in bad movies although he has some good ones too

I think I'd have enjoyed the MacGruber comedy more without Ryan Phillipe. There are some hilarious sequences, but overall it's a bad movie I think if I can remember correctly.

This sounds sensible, but what movies are you thinking about specifically? Lock Stock remains Guy Ritchie's best movie.
