Coach wrote:The Sox have had two days to dispute that report and they can't because I believe those numbers are true. They clearly do not want Xander or Devers.

I'll be at Sunday's game only because I got the tix free through work and I'm taking my kid.
Exactly, when they want a story squashed, they put the stooges to work like they did with that Covid testing thing Renfroe talked about. It’s true, I’m sure Boras is the one that leaked it, but it’s true.

It's super frustrating, too, when they spend very little on improving the NESN broadcast (home and away) unless it's to promote their new studio with mayor wu and jim rice, which made me throw-up.

Both the pre and post game yesterday were nauseating. They barely discussed baseball and devoted hours to praising ownership.

I'm just going to put this here:

During the NHL's Winter Classic, Henry's team will be playing the local team in Henry's stadium.

It's not surprising that the Red Sox put their petty hatred of Don ahead of honoring Jerry Remy's legacy last night, but it was still shameful. This organization knows no rock bottom.

That was brutal

Side note: The Sox host way too many ceremonies on the field. Remy deserved this one, but for whatever reason it feels like the Sox celebrate everything and it cheapens/dilutes these on field displays of affections.

Yeah, yeah, the team sucks right now, but yours plays inside a refrigerator.

I feel like they are going to hit, this lineup isnt going to be like this all season. However, I can already sense a toxicity in that clubhouse that is likely to keep getting worse.

I'm not really getting the toxic clubhouse thing. It's essentially the same roster as last year and they certainly had the je nais se quois. It's just a bad team with too many glaring holes.

It comes from their leader being in the contract situation he is in, in addition to basically every key player they have also being in a walk year and having zero dialogue with the front office. In addition to that, I’ve got to imagine this Houck thing didn’t go over well in that clubhouse, especially with the guys that didn’t want to get vaccinated but did.
