I was at neither but would have taken that Rome show over it from a pure listening standpoint. That 8/10 show is great but Eddie’s voice is so rough on it.

So many shows I would have put on the list that I think got missed that I grew up watching/listening to. Seattle 8/23/91, Den Haag 3/6/92, Pink Pop 6/8/92, Slim’s Cafe 5/13/93, Gimli 8/14/93, Boston Garden 4/11/94, Melbourne 3/17/95, Red Rocks 6/20/95, Randall’s Island 9/29/96, Berlin 11/3/96, Melbourne 3/5/98, MSG 9/11/98, Constitution Hall 9/19/98…(I need to get a post 2000 list going)

Just looking at this list and not knowing the context:
- Hardly anything from the ‘90s. What gives?
- That performance of HTI from the Gorge is an all-time PJ moment for me. Along with Low Light a few songs earlier as the sun was setting behind the stage. *chef’s kiss*
- Can’t believe they didn’t play the Gorge more often over the years
- Why Go from Safeco Field in 2018 is the best live performance of all time? WTF?

Per your last point: They were just playing a random song from the show i believe. People weren't ranking performances.

I think pj fans are idiots and the above list really is just from some of the more widely available bootlegs.

I came up with 30 shows as my rebuttal to the fan list, mostly because I have little better to do right now. Chronological order because I don’t want to fight about one show “better” than another. I am basing this list off shows I have heard that had the greatest impact on me as a fan, so certainly just a personal thing - I know there are hundreds of great shows out there that should be on a list:

8/23/91 Seattle
3/6/92 Deen Haag
3/16/92 Unplugged
6/8/92 Pinkpop
5/13/93 Slim’s Cafe
4/3/94 Atlanta
3/17/95 Melbourne
6/20/95 Red Rocks
7/11/95 Soldier Field
9/29/96 Randall’s Island
11/3/96 Checkpoint Charlie
3/5/98 Melbourne
9/11/98 MSG
6/16/00 Katowice
10/9/00 Chicago
11/6/00 Seattle
3/3/03 Tokyo
7/8/03 MSG
7/11/03 Mansfield
10/22/03 Benaroya Hall
9/1/05 Gorge
7/7/06 San Diego
7/23/06 Gorge
10/6/09 Universal City
10/31/09 Spectrum
5/21/10 MSG
10/22/14 Denver
4/29/16 Philly
6/26/18 Rome
8/10/18 Seattle

I have been to exactly 30 shows.

Maybe I’ll make a single song highlight list of every single one

The polling is so favorable to Newsom at this point that i’m not sure even Pearl Jam can fuck it up for him.

Amazing.

I've never been able to get zoom backgrounds to work. But I like where your head is at.

People find it slightly distracting, which is just the right amount of distracting.

How much longer does Pearl Jam have in them to keep delivering these long ass shows with such intensity? 10 years? 5 years? 20 years?

Great question. I always thought they were really driven in a competing with themselves kind of way - and don’t seem like they would dial it down without having to. The only metric I know of where the band continues to push in that regard is Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band - who are still going and have been playing about 17 years longer than Pearl Jam.
