The Moody Blues - Every Good Boy Deserves Favour
The danger of a band as ambitious as The Moody Blues lies in the potential to become an unintentional parody of your own excesses. This album is starting to feel like that. The harmonies and mid-60s rock sound seems out of step, or least to have lost its charm 3 albums in. What seemed like a revelation now seems like a self-created cliche, even with less focus on the lusher instrumentation. Or maybe I am just done with this band.
