Yeah, if you were to ask me about CCR I'd tell you that they are great and have a fantastic catalogue, but truth is I almost never listen to them.

This is a stellar run of songs. What a way to close an album.

Had to pick up some takeout last night and took my boy. I thought he might like to hear Van Halen's Jump. Within a block he had wound down the window and was hollerin' like a maniac, dancing and almost headbanging in his seat. What have I done, I don't want to listen to Van Halen all the time?

It was best of and by a Hagar tune he said it sounded like girls music.

If I start a thread about label love (people's favorite record labels, those that they follow, interesting and/or notable catalogs, etc.), would anyone else be interested in it, or should I just post that stuff here?

Idea for a tournament:

5 or 6 rounds of drafting. In each round you have to pick a band/artist. All of your picks have to have at least one band member in common. But bands can only be picked once.

So for example you might try to build a team like: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Temple, Neil Young, RNDM

But someone else might be trying to build a team of Soundgarden, Cornell Solo, Audioslave, Rage, etc, or NY, Crazy Horse, CSNY, etc.

Ideally it would get messy so you'd have to dig kinda deep in later rounds.

Your final "team" that gets voted on is one song by each artist. Or two songs to make it more like a playlist or mixtape. Or keep it one per and add more rounds/bands.

I don't get this.

Basically you pick 5 bands/artists all connected by at least one band member. Sort of a six degrees of separation thing. But other people are trying to do the same, so some of the obvious connections will get taken. I dunno, probably too complicated.

The two new songs from LCD Soundsystem are pretty cool.

what is this album cover supposed to be? This was the biggest band on the planet.

Literally everything about it is bad. I guess in that respect it perfectly reflects the album.

If that hand is chiseling their visage into the tree, why did they just slap an actual picture of them on it?
