Both of my stepsons are on a road trip together to Montreal and Quebec City. Look out for them.

This is often the case at dining establishments with actual seating.

yes, and there were tables available, but we also like sitting at the bar on occasion.

This is totally foreign to me.
Regular table needs a reservation if crowded, bar seats available if you can find one.
