I always thought that Scott Stapp was trying to be Bono in the "Higher" video. I hate CREED. I never got why a lot of my friends loved their first record. It sounded like they were trying to imitate at least 3 of my favorite bands at once, PJ, AIC and SG. Just like when I saw a band called Godsmack..

Imitation aside they were awful and the songs were awful.

Yes they were. It was an era when all videos looked really colorful and everyone wore shiny clothes. I absolutely hate Tremonti's guitar tone, too.

We had a get together at my Bassists' house yesterday and were discussing music and our sound guy and I were talking about College Radio being the best way to discover music. I absolutely agree, but it reminded me of the first time I heard The Strokes and The White Stripes on D.C.'s big rock station. I actually called them to find out who these bands were.
