He literally says they are in pre-production on Mando 3 right now. At the same time they are in production on Boba. As soon as Boba wraps production (and guess into post) they're diving right into production on Mando 3.

EW, Esquire, every other major outlet is reporting that Disney officially set Mando 3 to release Christmas of 2021.

They're starting on Mando after wrapping on Boba? Sounds like they're going to run out of time and have to shortchange the VFX again. More cartoons walking into this live action show, some Roger Rabbit amateur shenanigans again

It feels like it should be that way. But the turnaround on The Mandalorian is so fast because of the way it's shot. The Volume allows them to have a much, much shorter production period. The reason they're pushing it back to Christmas instead of having it drop in October of next year is to make room for The Book of Boba Fett.

Fett with drop in October (the traditional Mando slot) and wrap up just before Christmas. Then Mando 3 will premiere. It seems like a tight timeline but it really isn't. The majority of the work on these shows because of The Volume is pre and post production. And Mando 3 is already in pre-production.

I was wrong. According to the official Star Wars twitter account, Boba Fett is coming in Dec 2021.

Fett is coming in december. Mando 3 doesnt have a release date. Im sure it will be released on 2022.

They originally said Christmas 2021. But that seems to have been scrubbed. I think early 2022 is probably right. I just can't imagine they're gonna wait until Dec 2022.
