If it's a spoof then why does it seem like it's trying to be scary? Cause it's not. And this stupid house my god I swear I've seen it 100 times inside and out in horror movies. Can we get a new house for horror movies? I don't care about any of these characters just let them all die

the house is a decoy. Im not sure what to say because you havent finished it, but damn i was all giddy about it when i saw it in the theatre.

There is a particular scene thats already a classic.

But yeah, of course if dont like the tone of the movie already, quit now because its going to get more and more crazy.

This movie is actively giving me ADHD, but I'll try to finish it. I'm only 25 min in and keep pausing it

I just don't understand what the point of this movie is. Is this supposed to be fun?

I think it might be an allegory for the Irish Civil War?

I wasn't really feeling Malignant either, until it got to THAT PART (you'll know the one), and then it won me over.

Or you still might hate it, who knows.

Are you talking about when the tour guide mentions Pearl Jam?

haha OK I see what you guys mean now. It's kinda fun. Still strongly dislike the movie as a whole though.

I had a pretty negative reaction to that movie too. I think I probably owe it a rewatch because I think I should have liked it.

I'm a sucker for James Wan's aesthetic stylings so that movie is like porn to me. That scene in the bedroom is incredible

I get that. I guess it's just not my kind of porn. I think I would've liked it more if they took the more supernatural elements out of it. It could be truly scary if it were more realistic. It's just way too goofy and playful for me.

RedLetterMedia is cancer but also pretty representative of the current state of film culture as a whole

Is Big Fish the best Tim Burton movie? I watched it this morning for the first time in a long while and I was struck by how tasteful and tender it is in its filmmaking. Burton at his most restrained, and it works

I'm not his biggest fan, but I do agree that Big Fish is really good. Other top movies for me are Ed Wood, Batman and Beetlejuice.

I don’t agree with everything they say but they say a lot of interesting things and they can be quite funny and entertaining. They’re not cancer. How are they cancer
