Have you had any of the legendary German ones, like Ayinger or Schneiderweisse?! Those are delicious, and put most US Hefes to shame.
not a big fan. and i can include witbiers as well. the yeast strains that they use just aren't enjoyable.

Man, I wish I could. I've got this stupid meeting though. Goddmanit.
Ha, I have to make an ice cream delivery to the smokehouse at our local BBQ joint after lunch. Gonna be really tough to not grab a seat and start drinking and noshing on some ribs.

Someone left a case of Smithwicks and a 12 pack of Old Speckled Hen at my brother's house after a holiday party. He didn't want either of them so that's what I've been enjoying lately. And both are vintage go-tos for me.

Yea, I don't live witbiers either. But a nice German Hefe on a warm spring day? Sign me up.

Sometimes starting or ending a night with Stiegl Radler is the best plan of attack. Technically a beer but drinks nothing like it. Refreshing like no other.

Smithwicks is probably the most dramatic example of something tasting different from the tap vs. the bottle.

I love a good Radler, especially in summer.

I've had 3 or 4 different black IPA's and really enjoyed all of them.
I agree, black IPAs are tasty but don't think I've had a hefeweizen. I haven't liked any of the sours or wheat beers I've tried.

Eureka! Full Sail is in OR, so if I can't find it here in MT, I can track it down when I'm in WA or OR next.

If yall can find them, do yourself a favor and try those Hitachino Nest beers made in Japan. They are all excellent, and their white ale might be the best one in the world.

I was blown away. I give them as stocking stuffers now along with the Espresso Stout they make.

I really enjoy these beers and I know the import journey is part of the price tag, but I still can't justify paying what bars and restaurants want for this stuff.

Yeah, I only drink them very ocassionally and give them as gifts for that reason. Though I'd love to sit down and run through a half dozen of them sometime when I'm wealthier.
