Exposure to moisture, such as water-based lubricants will degrade the shelf life of ammunition.
Proper storage allows even commercial ammunition to be viable for decades. Keep your powder dry!

This is a durable good with an appreciating value, this has a very low market cap on only fans.

Me, the idiot bought one of those pony stamped ARs instead of building one. I have to tell myself its appreciating, even if it isn't.
Tfw no low profile gas block.

Not appreciating? You could probably sell it for 2k right now and build whatever you want...next year.

When it's grandfathered after the Biden Ban, its value will skyrocket!

Biden's gun control policy is interesting. Making all Assault weapons NFA items and banning imported assault rifles (the 2nd thing being something HW Bush did in 1991). Seems more geared to making firearm ownership a niche activity for the wealthy.
Not that anyone will be able to buy ammo at reasonable prices for the first year or two of the Biden administration.

Save that gif for Bret Weinstein and Unity 2020. What a bunch of tossers.

There was some dumb leftly confusing the NFA tax stamp with the FFL transfer fee.
I should be more charitiable because for law to be valid it should be discernable to the every man, but he was tweeting with unearned certainty. He was trying to work out if an additional $200 "FFL fee" would be fair for low income individuals.
If they learn about how the NFA works can we get some bipartisan support for abolishing it? No one can afford full autos at current ammo prices anyhow.

The stamp price has never increased, right? $200 in 1934 when the NFA was passed is roughly $3900 in 2020 dollars. What would have been prohibitively expensive back then is now easily affordable, especially to someone already dropping $800 or more on a can. It’s an annoyance more than anything.

Yeah, the $200 was supposed to be prohibitively expensive for the average person. That said though, $200 is not chump change if you have limited income and are already shelling out $400 for a handgun or $600 for an AR. They also plan to require a $200 tax stamp for every 'high capacity magazine'. That adds up quick.
That $800 can is only that much because the market is limited to those that will wait the 8-12 months for approval. Seems to be far more work to machine and heat treat an entire PSA rifle than a can.

Also, I wonder how much they undermine state restrictions on concealed carry if everyone with an "assault weapon" or "assault magazine" gets through a year of ATF scrutiny and passes with flying colors.
If they get a blessing for a 'dangerous' weapon or accessory equivalent in the regulators eyes to machine guns or cannons, clearly they should be trusted to walk around with a dinky handgun in their waistband.

Don’t get me wrong, fuck the NFA, and double fuck adding new types of guns and accessories to it.
