Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but is there any chance that the release schedule is the way it is because the end of Fett will also have implications in Mando's 3rd season? So Fett would be winter 2021-22 followed by Mando in the spring?

It seems like Disney is more than happy to link these things together as much as possible.

I don't think we have discussed this, and yes, if they are in the same timeline, this is a good point and probably high probability.

Are you sure about that? Everything I've seen still says Dec 2021.

Favreau was on good morning America this morning.

He confirmed mando is the year after next.
"Appearing on Good Morning America on Monday, the showrunner and director explained that The Book of Boba Fett will indeed be a stand-alone spin-off series — not some sort of replacement for The Mandalorian season 3, even though both titles will premiere December 2021."

I linked the interview. With favreau. That’s not what he said. It’s coming after. Watch it.

In your previous post you seemed to state (in all caps) information that isn't contested. It seemed like you were insinuating that we're confused on this fact. No one is confused on that.

Favreau said that Boba is in production right now, not pre-production. Mando 3 is in pre-production right now.

Mando 3 is still technically TBA, yes. But Disney did say in their big info dump that it would air Christmas of 2021. Perhaps they said that because they were still keeping the Fett secret. Either way, Favreau also indicated that fans wouldn't have to wait long for Mando 3.

So, while we don't know the release date for sure, it's possible that it may air in Dec of 2021 along with Fett. More likely is that it airs in early 2021. October 2021 is certainly possible. But all information up to now points to an earlier release.

But we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully, we get something more concrete once Mando 3 is in full production later next year.

Totally. Luckily, the way these shows are shot will help them in ways traditional shows can't be helped.

Right. But he could have also used the word "since" instead of "if." They mean the same thing in this context.
