If only there was something we could do to prevent destitution of working people. Some sort of mechanism to get them money. Ah well, the market is a natural force, can't be helped!

The national headlines regarding Texas "opening up" are misleading.

-Schools remain closed for the year
-Retail is only opening on a "To-Go" basis (and not for another week)
-Not even a mention of a timeline to re-open bars and restaurants in today's press conference (well aware of this one, being in the industry)
-Hospitals will allow elective surgeries again
-State parks will reopen (with heavy restrictions on group numbers)

The thing that worries me the most is that the reopen task force is full of lobbyists and GOP policy makers, and the tests are coming from the private sector.

Make no mistake, I think we WILL ABSOLUTELY reopen too soon, but today's press conference wasn't the grand reopening that the national media is making it out to be.

No, if we follow the rules...
on April 2, the Star Tribune reported that models were now predicting 50,000 deaths in Minnesota with the SHO restrictions in place...

Don’t let reality get in the way of a hyper media furor, and tumultuous public delirium.

Mayor Lenny Curry said Duval County beaches were reopening Friday afternoon with restricted hours, and they can only be used for walking, biking, hiking, fishing, running, swimming, taking care of pets and surfing.
What else are beaches used for?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
