Finished it tonight. I enjoyed it enough to finish it, obviously, but the second half felt tedious in a way that the first half didn't, and some of the things I liked about the narrative voice disappeared. I'd read another novel of hers but I'm not itching for it.

I also think the whole thing about her being the voice of the millennial generation is unfounded. What, so there are emails in the text?

I agree about the second half being less than the first. I was expecting it to go off the rails entirely and it pulled back. But I still really enjoyed the thing overall.

Yeah, I haven't heard any of that talk. But I tend to avoid that kind of hype in general.

I don't plan to finish it, but thumbing through this weekend

I'm about 60 percent of the way through, and I like it thus far. I guess my only frustration is that it's a really good book so close to being a great one, and I can't really pinpoint why it's falling short as of yet.
