i agree with this. back half of the show from the pitbull performance on was a bit of a struggle to get through save the brief, unexpected high of the goldberg/lesnar match. props to whomever put that match together. wasn't a classic by any means, but it was a good, fun five minutes. i'm sure both taker and reigns wish they could have had a better match, but the sendoff afterward was certainly memorable. now that it's over for him, i really hope we see taker start to open up more and appear on documentaries and the like. i don't know if that will happen or not, but it would be great to finally get his insight on a lot of things from the last 25+ years.
another good thing about this mania was the lack of extra-curricular garbage like legend spots and backstage comedy. save for the music this was a straight up wrestling show, and it was kind of nice.

TNA has tried to claim IP on the Broken gimmick, but Matt is basically telling them to FO as it was all his idea and he self-funded the majority of the stuff they did with it. Matt is still using some of the mannerisms, but I just feel like if they were really going with it Matt would have gotten a promo last night.
'Mania was fine. I was at WM28 - WM30 chasing the Undertaker's retirement and he definitely should've called it somewhere in there - the ideal situation would've been after the Punk match. It was the year after "End of an Era" so you could've played it as him coming back one time too many, it would've ended with a nice round 20-1, and it would've catapulted Punk (who probably would've stuck around longer after being given that rub).
I still remember going to my friend's place as a kid, and seeing Taker/Bundy - the first time I'd ever seen a wrestling match - and just thinking he was the coolest thing ever. And thus was I hooked.

WWE isn't about to get into a fight over a gimmick they had no hand in creating
the closest thing they came to referencing it was Cole saying something like "things are gonna get broken!"
