He gets pretty animated in The Nice Guys

Neon Demon is great.
hope the collaboration between refn and gosling resumes. when i watch gosling perform in drive and only god forgives, his face is always a mask. a decidedly handsome, though impenetrable one. five bags of popcorn
I don't know. I guess a mask with only one expression isn't always interesting to me.

I thought this was pretty bad
I saw it once years ago, and thought it was ok. My wife saw it before we met as well, and she loved it so much then, that she told her friends about it. So some different opinions there.

I do it is generally rated highly on various sites.

Good enough start so far, so we’ll see. I can’t remember much from the first time I saw it.
My wife and I also diverged on this one. She really liked it, I thought it was kind of lazy Woody
wow. love that movie so much and have never heard it referred to as lazy woody. that's how I think of midnight in paris

I just watched Inglorious Basterds again. First of all, masterpiece. Second, I remember reading that the original plan was for Adam Sandler to play the Bear Jew, and it fell through for some reason. While Eli Roth does a good job, can you imagine how awesome it would've been to see a bulked-up Sandler play that?

Yeah he was QT choice and I think he didn’t want to do it anymore once PT Anderson used him in Punch Drunk Love.

I would have loved to see him as a Billy Madison type…ey and did you know the original name of the movie was Glorious Bastards? Ha, interesting right ?

This one knocked me out. It keeps getting better the more it sits with me. It’s one of those movies that doesn’t fully crystallize until once it’s over.

The two leads were phenomenal. Such a deeply believable relationship. I am fully onboard the Paul Mescal bandwagon now.

Rewatching The Butler. It’s based on a true story. Very interesting.

Buffalo '66. Quirky, funny, sad, sometimes boring. 7/10 family traumas.

yeah, exact same feeling. I wasnt quite interested at first and it looked clumsy. The ending was powerful as fuck, and i liked it. And then with time its more of a wow that movie is just really good.

This is still lovely. One of the best movies from 2013.
