Hard to Find was used in the last episode of Arrow.

This was my #1 album of 2013... Great show at Red Rocks, too. They clicked for me the moment I first heard Boxer.

Just attended a screening of Mistaken for Strangers. What a great movie.

Re: The National | Trouble Will Find Me
Matt brings his brother Tom along to help out on the road. Tom is a wannabe filmmaker and decides he wants to take the opportunity to make a documentary about the band, but he just fucking sucks on every level. It becomes instead a documentary about this really lonely guy, with huge potential, who simply let every opportunity pass him by, and his resentment towards his brother's success. It's a sweet, sad, often laugh-out-loud hilarious and always poignant story about disappointment and anger, with The National and their music as a framing device. I'm not the biggest National fan ever, but this is one of the greatest documentaries I've ever seen.

I heard an interview with those two a couple of weeks ago. It sounds like an awesome doc.

I have heard nothing but positive reviews about the documentary and they are doing a fairly strong press tour behind it; I will be away for the local showing but will certainly get around to it soon.theplatypus wrote:Matt brings his brother Tom along to help out on the road. I couldn't help but see Tom as Jack Black. I loved when he was framing the other band members up for still shots

Re: The National | Trouble Will Find Me
Just finished watching it, and it IS funny in a pathetic way. "Hey, Moby!" cracked me the fuck up
I thought of Tom more like Phillip Seymour Hoffman's character from Boogie Nights... without the gay kiss.
Perfect movie length, I think Matt gets brother-of-the-year honors, and the plot really wrapped up nicely.

Re: The National | Trouble Will Find Me
That was brilliant. I see it was edited by Matt's wife, along with Tom, and all band members are listed as producers. It was so good I have to doubt Tom's ability to pull it off Han Solo...
