Does Cold Confessionremind anyone else of Other Side?
Yeah they're not lazy/crap, they're stupid.harmless wrote:I said this in the bitching thread:

Reminds me of comeback but obviously better, it has an old school blues/soul thing going onLooseGroove927 wrote:Does Cold Confessionremind anyone else of Other Side?
I hate to break it to you, but this was still 8 or 9 years ago.dprival78 wrote:if anything, i feel a whole lot better knowing that this band still exists somewhere beneath all the polish and yeah-yeah-yeahs of the last few years.
It's nothing like othersideRevelator wrote:So pissed I can't listen to these at work. Everyone's descriptions have me pretty anxious to hear them. I just hope the CC comparisons to Other Side are not true. Other Side is one of the very few PJ songs I really don't care for. Judging by the descriptions, CC sounds more interesting....

I think it's Mike's guitar tone that made me think that. Its a slow burner, but it plods along much better than Other Side.Revelator wrote:I just hope the CC comparisons to Other Side are not true.

These songs prove that PJ could bring this still if they wanted to. They don't. They want to make an accessible pop song now which makes the crowd go 'wild' and which Brendan O'Brien has spit-and-polished. That's what they want to do, and Ed gets pissed off when crowds don't respond well to it.Strat wrote:WtOB? wrote:I hate to break it to you, but this was still 8 or 9 years ago.dprival78 wrote:if anything, i feel a whole lot better knowing that this band still exists somewhere beneath all the polish and yeah-yeah-yeahs of the last few years.
Well, 8-9 years ago is also a period where many people felt PJ were already dying....
I really don't know what's Otherside-ish about CCRevelator wrote:So pissed I can't listen to these at work. Everyone's descriptions have me pretty anxious to hear them. Its maddening and somewhat insulting.harmless wrote:These songs prove that PJ could bring this still if they wanted to. They don't. Ha I couldn't help but think the same. The timing is so strange, but hey I'll take it. I have to fucking wait until tonight to listen to these 2 though, dammitverb_to_trust wrote:I'm convinced these were leaked to prove some kind of point.
