I think we’re out on this go-round. Finances aren’t where they need to be to fund any kind of excursions like this.

It's interesting that most of the shows are
not back-to-back nights this time. That's almost like a tax on traveling fans... unless it's meant to stop some folks from attending multiple shows...

Absolutely brutal with travel, yes. Chicago the Tuesday and Thursday after Labor day is about as horrible of timing as I could dream up.
As to why the dates are the way they are - total speculation, but I think it's based on trying to give the schedule breathing room to make a show up the following night. Insurance for this band has to be through the roof after all their cancelations last year.

I currently have round trip to Detroit for about $650.
Adding Austin on the way back to Seattle still keeps me right around $700.
That seems pretty good, I dunno.

greenhouse gas emissions
and will they serve meat on the plane
meat is murder
and requires a lot of groundwater

Is Josh an official member now? Seems he’s heavily involved in the recording process as well.
