I provoke the same exact reactions. I'm willing to bet that he's autistic - it's a trademark. People who meet me in person expect me to throw shit on their shoes but find good company instead. Though I'm not nearly as gay-looking as Albini.

He also discovered The Frogs and brought them into the music industry more or less. And I owe him the world (and many treasured friendships and experiences) for that. Otherwise, I never would have heard of them in a million years - nor would anyone else.

Is there a good album to start getting into Shellac? I tried years ago and they didn’t hook me, but I’d like to give them another shot.

i listened to 1000hurtz cause a friend recommended it about a year ago. i kinda liked it.

but i watched that live video from 2000 in the other thread, and then put on action park in the car the next morning. now i get it.

also their 2007 album is so dynamic for that time period.
