Re: New Song (9.19.13): Sirens
Nope. Still not feeling it. And I have kids, I can be sensitive and shit, I love slow Pink Floyd, I can get into some of the GNR style power ballads, but this,.... this... this ain't that. This is making me feel older than I know I am. Can anyone imagine this being played live and stone sitting there with a straight face? Jeff closing his eyes, getting into it, looking up at the sky, etc... What band is this?
I'm all for trying new things, I love that about this group. But this isn't a new thing. It's just a new thing for them. Now, they seem to do it well, but I'm just shocked that they thought it deserved to be created.
Now, it sounds like Pendulum will be new ground. And maybe Yellow Moon and Infallible to an extent. Let's hope I can just skip through this song when I'm not in the mood for it (which will be almost always), and it doesn't bring down the rest of the album for having skipped over it

Yeah there's one chord missing from the final take of this song, by the sounds of it.
