This is such a tired, boring argument.

She was spinning IV and said she's played it a few times and really digs it. Misty Mountain Hop is her favorite followed by Evermore. I told her to listen to Levee a few times and really listen to the groove they build in it. She's turned on to it. :hooray:
I aspire to this level of awesomeness.

Not reading it but I enjoyed his promo appearance on Maron
That appearance is what made me pick it up!

I think In Through the Out Door is their worst but it is still a pretty good album. In chasing all these different music styles I feel like it’s pretty lost - even though the songs aren’t bad. I would also place Coda (the b-sides album that came out after it) ahead of that.

Presence doesn’t get its due I always thought. That is a killer cover of Nobody’s Fault But Mine, Tea For One, For Your Life, Candy Store Rock are all great to me. I fall on the side of Achilles Last Stand being great full well knowing it is all of the excess that is Led Zeppelin over 10 minutes. But if we’re being honest, isn’t Carouselambra even more so but with synthesizers?

It's not even the longest song on the album!

But i agree its a good one, and Achilles Last Stand is in my Zep top 10 (maybe top 5). I just dont have alot of fondness for everything in between on that album.

On this we agree....Achilles Last Stand is damn near perfect.

It's actually in my time of dying

I dunno I heard somewhere it was tea n I always played it on the jukebox to get the most bang for your buck n then kinda fell in love with it.. I never actually timed it out

Also, yeah Achilles may be their best song.. its in my top 3 that always rotates

In My Time of Dying has floated near the top of my list of favorite Zeppelin songs in the last few years. That it is also the longest is no surprise.

Got in a Zep mood lately. Been listening to the O2 show in the car and yesterday while I was raking leaves I made it thru the latest deluxe versions of the first 5 albums. Goddamn what great fucking music.

The youngest Weaseling’s will sing along to more than a few of their tunes and absolutely loves Immigrant Song. The Plant/Page show I went to in ‘95 is up on YouTube and they actually opened with IS and transitioned from it into The Wanton Song. I pulled it up and played it for her and she couldn’t believe I was actually there and heard them do even that little snippet of it. My kids are pretty cool.

Found my Presence cd, as i have been cleaning them and storing them more carefully, and damn, jesus what an album. They were on fire really, and for some reason i never consider this one as being one of the greats.
