Injustice Year 2 is off to a great start. Didn't that used to be every week? Now it's bi-weekly.
Pretty Dead is awesome too. 4 issues in and it's really great. The Walking Dead is mostly ok too. I can't get into this Zero Year Batman story at all which is really bumming me out. I want to get to present day and see who the new Robin is (and if Harper is Nightwing now).

They really shouldn't have killed Damian....
I just have no interest in another new Robin

Ya I'm torn really. On one hand I'm tired of the rotating cast of Robins. On the other I get that it's the easiest way to introduce new characters. I'm don't buy that Batman needs a Robin though and I'm kind of glad Damian is dead. It's more devastating to Batman (which is awesome) than the loss of any other character besides his parents and Damian was a little shithead.

Ya but he was also the most entertaining/interesting character in the "Bat family".

I do agree on Batman not needing a partner and honestly I would prefer to see him fly solo after zero year is over and we get back to the present.

That's because it's a fucking mess. Batman in particular was bad because they rebooted DC with the new 52, but Morrison still had a story to finish so it was like two timelines slapped together for fucks sake. Dc and Marvel both suck at that shit. But it's easier to get new readers when your book isn't at issue 846, naw mean?

ive read where marvel is going to treat years like seasons and thus will start with new #1 every year so its not so confusing for fans. though i dont see how uncanny xmen vol 8 issue 4 is really any tougher than uncanny xmen #548

Keeping almost the entire extended Bat Family and shoe horsing them into a five year period was a pretty stupid decision. This is especially problematic in Forever Evil where Nightwing has been unmasked but in this continuity none of the heroes really know him or have worked with him. In the old one he was involved with everyone and everything. He was a major player. If Nightwing dies it has none of the emotional weight or significance to the DC universe it would have had before. He is just the kid who was Robin for a few months. GL retained the old continuity but John's made it work. Of course now that he is gone I've lost all interest in GL.

This.
On a positive note, Snyder has done a pretty good job on the main title despite these continuity problems (And who doesn't love Capullos art?). The 'Owls' story was refreshing, the Joker story was ok though I probably need to revisit it, and Zero Year has been pretty damn good (probably his best so far). I wasn't looking forward to another origin story but it's been really well done.

Having said all of that, If it wasn't for Capullo I would probably drop Batman all together. I preferred Batman Inc. and B & R to the flagship title, but with Morrison gone and Damian dead my hand has been forced.

I've been enjoying Synder's Batman stories. Detective and Batman and Robin have had some good moments too. Batman The Dark Knight is being cancelled for a reason. Still some great Bat stories despite some questionable company wide editorial decisions.

I gotta tell you, after age of ultron i have about had it with time travel-centric stories.

generally ilke bendis' writing i just felt this story was too far forced and didnt flow to well. without ever reading what it was about you could guess the first "Xmen" to come back werent who they said they were. I did like the fact of jean going by xorn but otherwise, meh.

he could have found some way to have pryde and the others splinter off of the Jean Grey school. The dynamics between logan and scott just didnt seem to where they should be. while adversarial there is still underlying respect between the two. while logan blames scott for xavier dying he still knows he is a solid leader and would not had done had he not been possessed (anymore than he blames "jean" for being dark phoenix) and scott knows there is no one more trust worthy than logan.

the art was too all over the map for me. love immomen (and bachalo) but the others were just blah.

You are pretty prophetic.
Spoiler: show
The original X-Men, Kitty and X-23 have splintered off and are headquartered at the old Weapon X facility. They are doing a crossover with TGOTG that has started promisingly. Wolverine and Cyclops just had a bit of a make up session in Wolverine And The X-Men. The not blaming Dark Phoenix Jean so why Cyclops thing was brought up.

I dont mind that idea... Instead of just having a running number... have a more definite "this is a story arc, jump on here it goes X-issues" course im more of a hard cover collection guy then a run down to the local shop every week and grab single issues anyway so...
