Thankful that I got to see him a couple of times.

The deaths of our favorite musicians is really starting to add up, but this kinda feels like the day the music died.

That would be Springsteen for me, but yeah, this one is going to hurt for awhile.

Absolutely. And that lead me to keeping an eye on releases moving forward, including Wildflowers. Due to that, i was a huge fan of his latter day work moreso than a lot of his earlier stuff. I worked my way backwards.

His recent stuff is still fucking fantastic.
Yes it is

obviously Vegas takes the lead today but I can't help thinking this day reminds me of the day that Farrah Fawcett died the same day as Michael Jackson

I mean, no sense ranking these tragedies.

Today....all i can think of.....turning to music to deal with the terror in the world. I was already so raw and sad this morning from the news, I couldnt wait till i could get back home and just listen to music. Find solace in it.

Then losing one of the bests....someone who - to this day - still provided me with what I needed in music.

it fucking sucks.

That's sad news. A surprise, too. He was one of those people (like Neil Young) I assumed would just sort of go on forever.

It never even occurred to me that this summer might have been my last chance to see him live again.

1:35 PM PT -- Sources tell us at 10:30 Monday morning a chaplain was called to Tom's hospital room. We're told the family has a do not resuscitate order on Tom. The singer is not expected to live throughout the day, but he's still clinging to life. A report that the LAPD confirmed the singer's death is inaccurate -- the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. handled the emergency.

If they pulled his life support and he has no brain function it is only a matter of time.
