Daydreaming is going to the summer anthem of 2016!

The video is such a perfect accompaniment to the song. It enhances the music to a whole new level. I found it to be very mesmerizing. It also feels like a farewell song to me. Like they're trying to say goodbye. It's definitely album closer material at least.

This is shaping up to be quite an interesting record. I fucking love how they always do something different. My only real hope is that it's more than 8 tracks.

Do you feel the same way when people criticize Donald Trump's politics but then make fun of his hairpiece?

God, I WISH that thing was a hairpiece.

No Trump in the Radiohead thread please! This is sacred ground here.

What if the new Radiohead album is called Trump!? Then what are we supposed to do?

Eh, to me it felt unnecessary. You make perfectly good observations about the music, then throw in a meaningless dig just because. I'm not really a fan of it when it comes to political discussions, either, but it seems more like fair game there when appearance often ties into publicly expressed persona.

It's kind of a stretch to call that a dig. It's just a lighthearted observation.

RMers used to snidely comment on my affection for cargo shorts and I never considered it a dig. I just had terrible fashion sense.

I can respect that he didn't appreciate the joke, but it holds no bearing at all on the validity of my criticism of the music. Just because you dislike something someone says does not render everything else that person says invalid.

And I like cargo shorts.

That's it. You can have your book back, Kev.

Man, I can fit like three of those babies in one cargo pocket -- anything else you wanna send along?

I'm honestly hoping this is their last album. I'm deeply in love with these two songs and I'm expecting this is going to be an amazing album. It's a great way to go out. If it's not, that's great too. I just hope they tour more.

The new tune is a beaut. A quintessential Radiohead composition.

Pure speculation: Daydreaming is track #1 on Radiohead's unnamed 9th LP.

Wow, I love Daydreaming.

Burn the Witch has dimmed a bit on subsequent listens though I expect it hearing it in context of the album will help.

So do i listen to this on the drive back to Chicago from Bloomington, or wait until the evening when wife and kid are asleep?
