I like WTF a lot, and, generally, I think Maron is a very good interviewer, though what he does is quite specific. To a degree, it does involve him talking about himself, but often this will cause guests to lower their guard, become candid, and reveal their own neuroses and insecurities because they relate to his.
But it doesn't always pay off, and when it doesn't, it's insufferable.

I love his tv show, but I have zero interest hearing him talk about himself when interviewing other people.

I'm kind of shocked by much I like his show. Even though I enjoy his interviews, I tend to find him, as a person, to be rather unbearable and, frankly, uninteresting. Like most, I skip his opening monologues. Yet he still managed to make an engaging, unique, insightful show. I don't get it.

Edit: Wow, I didn't even realize that some of these were produced around Boston. Lore is actually from the North Shore (where I'm from), pretty cool.
Boston has such an under-appreciated news sector. Between WBUR, PBS, and now the growth in podcasting, there is an enormous amount of world-class reporting coming out of the area.
You failed to mention WBZ 1030.

No I didn't. Zolak & Bertrand are mortal enemies of mine.
- Spoiler: show
- Just kidding. I don't even know who those dudes are. Your radio station is great.
They're not on WBZ 1030. They're on 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM)
