Is that the Corduroy that goes for nearly 10 mins? I love it but it seems like too much of an exception to be a definitive version.

I haven’t listened to all of the versions that tyweed posted, but I wanted to at least mention “Immortality” from Hartford ’08. Incredible version within the context of the show, and still holds up when I listen to it 10 years later.

That is a pretty amazing version - my favourite 2008 show. Shame the sound quality/mixing isn't the greatest.
I've just listened to all the contenders again and I think Toronto 2000 might be the winner.

Is there a HQ rip of Hail Hail from Letterman? That to me is the definitive live version of that song.
I think Who You Are and In My Tree definitely need to be Jack versions. Matt just can't seem to get the groove down for those two. Lukin too. Matt can't figure out the intro at all, Lukin must be a Jack version.
Off He Goes should be LO2L, I have yet to hear a better version. Red Mosquito from that album is pretty spot on too.
Glad to see you're thinking St. Louis 2003 for Present Tense, that may be my favorite version.
There are some really good Smile version from the 2000 tour, I can't think of one that stands out more than the others.
For the other NC songs, not sure if I have a strong preference from a particular tour or drummer.

right? doesn't really get more definitive than that. i would not be disappointed if it didn't make the final cut, but to not be listed for consideration seems an oversight to me. it's not like it's sloppy. maybe there's some missed lyrics or something, i don't remember.

JWB's remaster for the upcoming PJ TV compilation sounds pretty good. It is probably the best Jack verison out there - I guess it just comes down to whether we should go with a Jack or Matt version. I really do love that LO2L version of Hail, Hail.

Just had a listen and it's pretty much perfect. I also listened on to Nothingman and I think it may be a better version than front-runner Seattle 2000.
EDIT: Actually, Mike seems to be MIA on the LO2L version (bathroom break? )

It has been almost 13 years since the Green Habit Compilation was put together by the
Red Mosquito Forum community. As the band has now been together for double that length
of time, an update or sequel to this collection was well overdue. Hundreds of official
bootlegs later (including numerous 'vault' releases from the pre-bootleg era), every
song has been put up for review.
Red Mosquito forum users were invited to nominate and debate their favourite versions

There were a number of criteria for picking a definitive live version: sound quality,
correct lyrics, no guitar flubs, full band (if that is how the song was recorded in
the studio), electric rather than acoustic (again, if that is how the song was recorded),
and original era/drummer where possible (unless later versions had something really
special). Basically, if you had to represent the essence and power of each song through
one single live version - which would it be?
After a LOT of deliberation, this is what we came up with. Thank you to everyone for
your suggestions and for the discussion to date. This will be a constantly evolving
collection, so will be reviewed as new shows are played or released from the vault.
The best known source for each track has been used, and remastered by JWB only where
required to provide the smoothest possible listening experience.

there is no way that Nothingman's definitive version can be played by any other drummer than Dave A
