Not only do I not think that there's anyone who can step up, but it's also a hole I don't exactly want to fill. I think Bourdain was a sort of singular reader of global culture and politics on a grand scale--in as much as that sort of thing exists--and the loss of his voice for me isn't something that I feel ready to supplement. I yearn for more Parts Unknown eps but I don't want a new Tony.

I understand. I'm saying he's different. Even behind those you mentioned. It's not just about replacing him which obviously can't be done, it's about filling the niche, about replacing what he did.
There is painting without Picasso. There is pop music without Michael Jackson. There is still doom without Kubric.

English chef Rick Stein was kind of Bourdain before we had Bourdain.
Deeply passionate about food and traveled around exploring. Seafood particularly was his thing.
He’s worth looking up. He had several series on bbc.

Gordon Ramsay has a new show coming out on the NatGeo channel that looks in the spirit of what Anthony did. It looks interesting

Bourdain's friend, and one of my favorite "celebrity" chefs, Marcus Samuelsson, has a pretty good show called "No Passport Required" on PBS where he explores foods in U.S. Cities

It’s slimy opportunism on Ramsay’s part.
He’s going for that same niche. He in no way has the same ability to relate to people or appreciate food in any form the way Bourdain did. In fact he’s the worst kind of snob.
It’s kind of obvious.
I don’t like the guy if you do, no harm I guess.
